Amazon has issued an apology after its AI delivery drones were filmed dropping packages from 10 feet in the air, damaging orders.
Content creators have been making waves online by filming Amazon’s AI drones, which promise “ultra-fast” shipping in the states where they operate, such as Florida, Texas, and Arizona.
In videos posted to social media, Amazon customers documented their deliveries and things didn’t exactly go according to plan.

In a video posted by Arizona-based YouTuber Tamara Hancock, the content creator explained how the drone shows up within an hour after an order is made and how the drones abort deliveries if it sees an animal, child, or person.
Once she opened it up, the syrup was all over the box, leaving Hancock to advise viewers to only order from drone if they “badly” need something.
In a separate incident, TikToker ‘tashaloveswill’ used drone delivery and filmed her package falling onto her neighbor’s driveway, prompting more users to detail their own struggles.

“Just to let you guys know they’re only supposed to do it on the grass, not the concrete,” another chimed in.
In a statement to the New York Post, Amazon said that these are “rare instances.”
“Prime Air’s goal is to provide customers with fast, reliable delivery across a broad selection of over 60,000 products. The response from customers using Prime Air has been overwhelmingly positive. We’ve invested in purpose-built packaging specifically engineered to protect items throughout the flight and during the final delivery to the customer,” they explained.
“We apologized to the customer for the inconvenience this caused and, in the rare instances when products don’t arrive as expected, we make it right. We continuously take learnings from incidents like this to improve the delivery experience for customers and the community.”
