2026 is a big year for Harry Potter, thanks to new audio version of the books being released, and HBO’s TV adaptation hitting screens at the tail-end of the year.
But while recording a new podcast, the original Harry Potter – Daniel Radcliffe – was asked to rank his own movies via a bracket game, the results of which surprised himself.
For context, Deathly Hallows Part 2 is the highest rated Harry Potter movie on Rotten Tomatoes with 96%, while Deathly Hallows Part 1 is the lowest on 76%.

While guesting on the HappySadConfused podcast, Daniel Radcliffe was tasked with ranking the Harry Potter movies, with the host pitting titles against each other, and the actor having to pick his favorite in each round. Here’s how it went down:
Sorcerers Stone vs Chamber of Secrets?
“I would take Chamber of Secrets out of those two, because I love the Basilisk.”
Prinoser of Azkaban or Goblet of Fire?
“That’s actually tough. I know everyone wants me to say Azkaban. I know that’s how everyone else feels. But I love the stuff I got to do on the fourth movie – [it] was awesome. So I’ll say Goblet of Fire.”
Order of the Phoenix or Half-Blood Prince?
“Order of the Phoenix. Far and away. Half-Blood Prince is probably the bottom of the bracket for me. And that’s my own stuff, that’s not the film. I don’t know what the system is I’m using here. I’m kind-of going back and forth.”
