Asmongold has revealed he used time away from streaming during his April 2026 Twitch ban to fix serious dental issues, saying his teeth had been “rotting” for months.
The streamer was recently suspended following controversial comments on stream, but has since returned and revealed that during his time offline, he had extensive dental work done on his teeth.
Asmongold says he could “taste the rot”
Speaking on stream, Asmongold explained just how bad things had gotten before finally seeking treatment.
“The work I had done on my teeth, I’ll just tell you. It was $7,000. I spent $7,000 to get my teeth fixed, and I’ll have to spend more, too.”
He went on to describe living with the issue for months, saying: “For the past three months, the teeth that I had were rotten. Every time that I would bite down, I would taste a little bit of the rot.”

The change was immediate after the procedure, with the streamer noting that even everyday food felt different. “Last night was the first night that I went and had Chipotle again and I was like, ‘Damn, this tastes way better.’”
Asmongold also admitted he had developed ways to manage the problem while streaming, including trying to prevent the smell from becoming noticeable.
“I don’t know if you guys ever noticed me doing this but I would bite down on my finger so I could press the tooth down so the rot underneath it wouldn’t come out and smell bad.”
Despite previously feeling uneasy about medical procedures, he said his perspective has shifted after the experience, adding that he now prefers the “fake sh*t.”

Асмонголд рассказал, что девушки начали с ним общаться только тогда, когда он стал популярным стримером.
Previous to his 2026 ban, Asmon, real name Zack Hoyt, received a two-week suspension from Twitch back in 2024, which he later described as the “greatest two weeks” of his life.
